How to access the
Printco FTP Server:
You cannot login
to the Printco Server
anonymously. Please call your Sales Rep or Customer Service Rep for a personal login Name and Password
(425/255-7700). (Or email PrePress@printcoinc.com)
If you use your
own FTP Software, start your FTP software and go to "ftp://63.226.195.85/".
In most cases, you can simply click on the link
above in your internet browser and you'll be
connected to the FTP Server. To do this,
your browser must support FTP Client Mode.
Setting
Internet Explorer for FTP Client Mode:
- Start
Internet Explore
- Click
Internet Options on the Tools menu
- Click the
Advanced tab
- Click
Enable Folder View for FTP sites
- Restart the
browser and connect to the FTP Server (ftp://63.226.195.85/)
- If you
receive an error in connecting to the
server, please try refreshing the page (F5)
After "Name," type your login name. After "Password," type your password.
Once logged in, you will be logged in to your personal FTP directory
(i.e. other users and customers will NOT be able
to see your files).
Transfer the appropriate files to the folder. Please put all files related to your job together in one compressed Stuffit (.sit) or WinZip (.zip) file. See NOTE at right regarding filenaming rules.
Send e-mails to
PrePress@printcoinc.com, copy to your Customer Service Representative, identifying the job number
and the file name(s) you have transferred to your folder.

Do you need FTP software?

PLEASE NOTE:
When using the Printco FTP site, DO NOT insert spaces in your directory or file names to separate words. Instead, use an underscore.
(Example: "File_name.sit" is OK, but "File Name.sit" is NOT OK.)
To avoid upload problems, all directory and file names should use letters, numbers, hyphens or underscores
DO NOT use unusual characters such as "@" or "/".
Put all your files into one file using compression software such as
WinZip,
or
Stuffit, and then name it according to above instructions. |
